Well the Boi has certainly surprised me. . .I never thought he would do any thing like this . . .Mr Conservative becoming Mr Rock Star????

Friday night was Homecoming at school.  They played one song during the half time show.

Also on 2 occasions they have performed at The Hardrock Cafe

Halloween Preparations

Yesterday I had some fall fun!  Started the morning dropping the boi off for an Eagle Project for another scout in our troup!. . . then off for me time. . . .This week I discovered a new (its been open a year and I had no idea) scrap store. . . .Craft Fusion. . .http://craftfusionaz.com/?doing_wp_cron=1349021036.1879699230194091796875  - go check them out, some good classes.

So here is what I did . . . .yesterday morning

Then from Chandler. . .I drove to Glendale to help with Cousins in the Kitchen . . . .to help cuz Dana, Auntie Bev and sis's Amy and Kelly can 20lbs of tomatoes. . .When I got there the last of the ?? number of jars were in the water bath and ran out of propane. . .had to bring those indoors and they had just put in the pressure cooker the first jars of Chili. . .they were very productive. . . .B'na was playing with the boi's; Jack, Andy and Eddy. . .they are sooo cute!  Sorry no pics yet of the canning. . . I do have pics of last weeks adventure into canning apple butter

Ok, so I am off for a day of thrifting.  Friend, Mindy, called and wanted to do something today - head out of town??  Wont work with my schedule,  . . .Not with the Boi coming home tomorrow. . . so why not spend the whole day hitting as many Goodwills as possible??  Wanna see where we are going?  http://www.goodwillaz.org/

It is 6:30am right now. . . I am going to head over to her house to head out.  Both Glinda Blu and Ruby (our two Mini Coopers) will be parked and we are taking the SUBURBAN. . .more room!!!

So our trek started with a drive from the Arcadia area to the first store in Sun City. . .we ended up in Fountain Hills and then back to Scottsdale area. . .all in all . . . .8 stores.
I cant wait to show you what we did with some of the buys!  Lots of fun.  Now we are planning our next excursion. 

Shopping Trip

Today, Sis and I went shopping/couponing.   We hit our normal 4 local stores, Frys, Bashas, Albertsons and Safeway.  This wasn’t a huge shopping trip, just some good sales. 

We got 8lbs ground beef, 6packs of cat treats, 3 lbs of spreadable butter, 6 Grands biscuits, 4 boxes of 18ct Super Tampax, 4 Philadelphia cooking creams, 4 packages of bacon, 3 bottles of ketchup, 3 bottles of mustard, 1 glucose meter, 36 eggs, 2 jars pickle relish, 5 cans beans, 4 bags of croutons, 5 ½ gallons milk, bag of Parmesan cheese, 4 packages of sausage links, 8 ears of corn and 2 bottles of laundry detergent.

The total sales was $233.20, we paid. . . $81.43.  That’s a savings of 65% overall.  Yeah!  Who says coupons aren’t worth it??  Not me.  This wasn't the best of our shopping trips, but it was still a good one.  Promise to post more!
